Occupying the entire bow of deck 15, the Fitness Center has an amazing vantage over the sea that may make getting on the treadmill a little easier. There are simply not enough beds, tables, and chairs to accommodate the numbers. To make up for this drawback, Retreat’s biggest perk is private restaurant Luminae. I missed the open center design, a signature feature of Oasis-class ships, but there were plenty of beautiful spaces like Eden and a rooftop patio onboard. The architecture of the ship’s exterior and interior spaces is very design-forward. The only other onboard pool is exclusive to cruisers booked in The Retreat, the ship's private suite enclave. It functions as a lounge during the day and a nightclub with performance art by night. With a spiral walkway around the outside -- an homage to the Fibonacci Sequence -- it also encompasses a bar with creative drinks, a gratis lunchtime deli and a pricey restaurant that's open for dinner.
